FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kaitlin Dunbar and Michael Butzer
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner the better! We ask that you please RSVP by Saturday, May 16th at the latest so that we are able to give our reception venue a final headcount. To RSVP, please click the "RSVP" tab and follow the prompted instructions. Even if you are unable to attend (we'll miss you!), we ask that you please still RSVP so that our guest count is as accurate as possible. Thank you!

Question

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Answer

Think elevated garden party vibes! We kindly ask guests to wear formal cocktail attire — long dresses or chic midi dresses are perfect for the occasion. Suits of any kind are welcome for men, including linen suits for a lighter, summery feel. Please note: The groomsmen will be in tuxedos, so feel free to dress up!

Question

WHERE DO I STAY?

Answer

We'll be staying at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, conveniently located right next to the venue. We've reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate for our guests. To book, just use the link under the 'Travel' tab or mention the Dunbar-Butzer Wedding when calling (Code G-DUBU). Room block rates are available until May 12, 2026. Please note: There are other wedding parties staying at this hotel the same weekend, so we recommend booking as soon as possible! This hotel is within walking distance to the venue and is also where we’ll be staying. If you have any questions or need help with your reservation, feel free to reach out to Michael or Kaitlin — we're happy to help!

Question

What time does the Welcome Party start?

Answer

Please note that the Welcome Party start time has changed from what was listed on the invitation. The Welcome Party will now begin at 8:00 PM Mountain Time.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at Donovan Pavilion in Vail, CO. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors; dinner and dancing will be indoors. Please dress accordingly.

Question

What time should I be at the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:00PM MT. We ask that guests arrive at least 15 minutes early so that they have plenty of time to find a seat.

Question

What’s the weather typically like that time of year?

Answer

June in Vail typically brings mild, pleasant weather with daytime highs in the low 70s °F and cool evenings. Light rain showers are possible, so layering is recommended—but overall it’s a beautiful time of year with plenty of sunshine

Question

Is Transportation Provided to/from the Venue?

Answer

No. The hotel is within walking distance of the venue. If you’re not staying at the hotel, there is a free local bus that stops right outside the venue, a free parking lot where you may leave your car overnight, and rideshare services are also available.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

If you would like to drive, you are welcome to park at the venue as there is a large free parking lot. You are welcome to leave your car there overnight, but please pick it up by 10:00 AM MT on Sunday, June 14th.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’d love to invite everyone to celebrate our special day, but due to space constraints, we ask that you RSVP only for the names included on your invitation.

Question

Can I bring my child/children?

Answer

We wish we could include all children, but due to space restrictions we are unfortunately only able to include children who are apart of the wedding party.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, it is wheelchair accessible.
