We're getting married!

It all started with a bowl of chips and salsa. Isn’t that where all love stories start? Kaitlin and Spencer met where everyone meets these days with a simple swipe. Their first date was in February 2018 at Cactus Grill at a small table in the corner of the restaurant. A few drinks later, no food ordered, and only a handful of chips consumed by Spencer, the first of many dates concluded. That’s right, Kaitlin did not eat a single chip while they talked and hung out for almost 2 hours. Surprisingly, Spencer would request to hang out again. You couldn’t tell from the first date, but Kaitlin and Spencer’s affection would soon grow through many dates and sharing some of their favorite restaurants around Kansas City. What relationship could survive without sharing a love of food? As two people that just hit their 30th birthdays, weddings and celebrations were aplenty in 2018. They took their first road trip to Illinois, their first plane trip to San Francisco, and shared their first Christmas together. 2019 was filled with many more weddings and all the best memories putting the building blocks together for a wedding of their own. It took 50 weeks into the year, but Spencer finally proposed on December 20th. Kaitlin had planned a “Best Friend Festive Fun Night” where their friends would meet them for a fun holiday night out grabbing a festive cocktail and a post dinner trip to see Kansas City’s best holiday light display with the City’s tallest tree. What Kaitlin thought was a “ChristmasGram” moment in front of the tree, turned into Spencer dropping down on one knee and asking her to spend forever with him. Although we have shared so many great memories together building our love story, we look forward to hosting you for the biggest one yet. We can’t wait to celebrate this forever love with our closest friends and family!
