Charleston International Airport (CHS)

The closest airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS) which is a 40 minute drive from Kiawah Island. While Uber is available at the airport to Kiawah, Uber is not available from Kiawah back to the airport. We recommend booking transportation ahead of time. We also suggest renting a car if you want to explore the island on your own!

Our favorite way to get around the island! Kiawah Island is renowned for its natural beauty and abundant wildlife. Ride along 30 miles of paved leisure trails and 10 miles of hard packed beach. Discover numerous secret spots for solitude and wildlife viewing accessible only by bike! For those staying on properties rented through Kiawah Island, you can rent directly by calling Recreation Reservations at 843.768.6001. Delivery to your villa is available. If renting through AirBnB or VRBO, please ask your host for available rental companies serving the island.
