Cross Country Skiing at Mountain Top has been a favorite past-time since 1964. With all of that history, varied terrain and sweeping views, you are sure to have the experience of a life-time. They also have Dog Friendly Trails! In season, check the trail conditions at trailhub.org.
Whether you’ve been doing it for years, or this is your first try, snowshoeing is a wonderful way to explore the woods and meadows and get that cardio going! The team at the Activities Center will provide you with a trail map, and the Chef’s would be happy to pack you a lunch! When you get back, have some s’mores by the fire, or if you are an overnight guest – take a long soak in the hot tub – you’ve earned it!
A horse drawn sleigh ride is a quintessential Vermont thing to do! Take a romantic sleigh ride with that someone special or bring the kids along and make memories to last a lifetime. Bring your own skates, or rent a pair from the Activities Center. Ice skating is part of the quintessential Vermont Winter experience! Use of the rink is an overnight stay-inclusive amenity, skates can be rented separately. The rink is open to the public at an additional price.
The 700 private acres, 40 miles of trails and Long Trail access, provide perfect walking and hiking excursions. Whether you’re looking to take a simple stroll or are interested in a more challenging outing, they have a trail for you.
If you love to ski Killington is only about 17 miles south-east of the resort! The bride and groom plan to spend a few days skiing here after the wedding.
Slightly closer to the resort (about 11 miles) is Pico Mountain. Pico is smaller than Killington but locals love the trails!
