Nate and I met at church in 2016. I had just broken my elbow from playing college soccer, and I wanted to come home for the weekend for some TLC. I was loopy from the pain meds, hair a mess, and hadn't showered in about 5 days, arm in a cast, but somehow I still made my way to church that Sunday. I wandered to the back of the church, and there was Nate, standing by the snack area. Now to this day, I don't know if I meant to say this out loud or not ( Due to the pain meds I was on) but I aggressively said " UGH! There are no good snacks here". Nate just looked at me and just said "Yea....." Then he started to walk away, but turned around after making it half way down the hall, and asked "What happened to your arm?" I told him the story as we both walked back to the main lobby. I then said " I don't think I've introduced myself, I'm Kait". He shook my hand and replied " I'm Nate"! I knew from that moment that it had to be fate because our names rhymed ;) The next day, he added me on facebook, and the rest is history. I guess it was a good sign that after not showering for days, and being loopy on pain meds, he still liked me, hot mess express, and all. I knew from day 1 that I wanted him in my corner. Nate couldn't have come into my life at a more perfect time. My Mom was really sick and ended up passing away just 2 short months later. He gave me a shoulder to lean on, and was by my side during all of my stages of grieving. I feel so grateful that they got to meet each other before she passed away. I knew I needed him in my corner then, and now here he is still in my corner, and me in his, for life.

NATE THE GREAT!! Nate loves long walks on the beach....Just kidding, but he does love cooking up a mean BBQ any day of the week, and he is dang good at it. Nate is a man of many talents. Nate is more of an introvert than me, yet can hold a conversation with anybody and do it with interest and grace. He is the hardest working person I know, and his work ethic continues to blow me away every single day. Nate is kind, funny, caring, and would give the clothes off his own back to anyone who needed them. He has a selfless heart when it comes to acts of service. He is the first person to offer up a ride, a meal, or a listening ear when somebody needs it. Nate is the type of guy who has your back no matter what, something I've seen him practice time and time again. He is dedicated to what he believes in! For example: He will never give up on his football team, The Cowboys, even though they suck! (Sorry not sorry)! He never gives up on the people he believes in, and never stops pushing you to be your best self, while he does the same for himself. I'm so proud of the person he is,and I can't wait to be his Wife!

Miss Kait...what can i say? We met at very challenging times in both of our lives and Kait has been my rock ever since. She is the most caring, compassionate, and selfless person I know and can always bring a smile to my face. She has taught me that not everything has to be planned and to be more of a free spirit ( I have a looong ways to go). She is an AMAZING teacher and I get to be in the front row and watch her have such an impact on her kids and see the respect parents have for her. The year Janna passed she also fractured her elbow and still graduated with Honors. That is something the has always been so inspiring to me, and is a perfect example of her faith and determination. Kait has always stuck by my side through thick and thin and I will do the same for her. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her :) She is my person, and with God in the center, I cannot wait to see what the future holds. I love you baby!
