Kaitlin: Mason and I met back in October 2019 at a bonfire my cousin Jay was having. I had heard of Mason before but had never met him. He was a good friend of my cousin’s, and we both just so happened to be at my cousin’s for his party he was having. We talked briefly but did not hit it off at first. But little did I know, he was interested in me from the moment we met. Maybe I was oblivious. We had seen each other in passing a few times after, as my cousin lived beside my parents, and I would sometimes see Mason hanging out with Jay while I went to go visit my parents. I was getting ready to leave my parents’ house one night when Mason and Jay had pulled in the driveway. He got out of the car and we talked for a few minutes. He asked when I was going to come to his job to come get a free pizza. We both worked at the same mall and I didn’t even know it! A few weeks later, I took him up on that offer, and visited him at his job when I got off work. We sat and talked for a little while, and from right then I knew I was interested in him. I felt a spark I hadn’t felt before, and had a good feeling about him. Maybe this could be something good that I didn’t know I needed. We made things official on January 4th, 2020. Moved into our first home in October 2020, and got our first dog in November! What a year we had! Over the years we made such wonderful memories. Moved 2 more times, got another dog, and have really settled in our current home. I was ready at any moment for Mason to pop the question… and he finally did on September 7th, 2025 on a family beach trip we had planned! My parents were there, and so was his mom. It was absolutely perfect. I am now counting down the days til I become Mrs. Williams in October! I can’t wait to be your wife, Mason! Then one day I saw Kaitlin walk across the back yard while I was hanging out with Jay and asked who she was. I saw her a few times passing in the yard but never spoke until Jay had a bonfire party. I did everything could to talk to her to the point I was just being annoying haha. After managing to thoroughly get under her skin I left her alone and waited til I saw her crossing the yard again another day to ask her when she would come get some free food at the pizzeria I worked at since we both worked at Tanger Outlets at the time. I would casually shout across the yard anytime I saw her to remind her to come get some food until one day she walked into the restaurant. Sitting down and talking over food with her let me know she was someone I would want to have in my life. When January came around I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes! We moved in together and no matter where it was it felt like home as long as I was with her. We got 2 dogs that we love so much and started to have our own inside jokes. I was able to come to her and talk to her about anything and not feel like she was judging me, but really listening. So I started looking for a ring. My Dad called me one day and asked if I had picked a ring out, and I hadn’t yet, nothing felt right. But he said he had a couple that belonged to my grandmother. Kaitlin met Memaw one time and they loved each other immediately. So I looked through and found the perfect ring for her. After getting it cleaned and looking perfect I waited for a beach trip to pop the question. With her parents, my mom, pawpaw and Aunt dot on the trip, I asked and she said yes!! I can’t wait to marry you Kaitlin! I can’t wait to give you my last name and spend the rest of my life with you!
