River Street Savannah Georgia
One of the most fun things to do in Savannah is to stroll along River Street. The old cobblestone streets weave you through historic buildings, shops, and restaurants. Make sure to get a praline and watch them make the taffy at River Street Sweets!
Savannah Ghost Tours by Ghosts & Gravestones
This is such a fun tour and we went on it in 2013. If you decide to go on this tour you'll learn why Savannah is often known as "the most haunted city in America."

Wormsloe Historic Site
Drive along Wormsloe's 1.5 miles of live oak trees and explore the estate of one of Georgia's colonial founders. The estate is is about 10 miles away from the riverfront.
Fort Pulaski National Monument
This fort was used during the Civil War and was the location where the Union army tested the rifled canon in combat. We highly recommend taking a guided tour! Fort Pulaski is about a 20 minute drive from the riverfront.
Tybee Island
Tybee Island is home to one of the seven surviving colonial lighthouses and is a great spot to get some sand between your toes. It's about a 25 minute drive away from the Savannah Riverfront but is a must see if you'd like to see the beach!
