Every love story starts somewhere — and ours started with a swipe. Kaitlin came across Jake’s profile on Bumble and something about his smile (and the way he seemed both confident and kind) stood out. After chatting for a bit, she made the first move and asked Jake out to dinner! Neither of us had any idea it would be the start of something that would change our lives. Our first date was at The Cheesecake Factory — which we later found out was also Kyle and Liz’s first date too! It turned out to be the most expensive date we’ve ever had (which still makes us laugh), but it was totally worth it. From that night on, everything just clicked. Our conversations were easy, we couldn’t stop laughing, and it just felt right. Then came May 24th, 2025. After a day of seeing wild horses on the Outer Banks and going all-in at an all-you-can-eat crab leg buffet, Jake decided it was time. The Outer Banks had always been special — it’s where he first realized he was in love with Kaitlin — so it was the perfect place to ask her to marry him. With the ocean as our backdrop (and his mom, dad, grandma, and aunt sneakily watching from the balcony), Jake got down on one knee and asked Kaitlin to be his forever. She said yes! 💍 We can’t wait to celebrate our story with all of our family, friends, and colleagues who mean so much to us. Here’s to our forever — and all the memories still to come!
