Jace and Kaitlin went to the same school together for years. He was a grade ahead of her and although the two went to the same school and lived in the same town, they had never had a single interaction. In fact, he didn't even know that she existed even though she had a brother in the same grade as him! Kaitlin always jokes that even though she knew who he was, it was because she was a nerd and band geek and he was too cool for her for them to ever talk. It wasn't until the summer of 2014 when she had caught his attention through a picture that was posted on Facebook. From there Jace messaged her asking "Are you Kevin Mullins sister?" and that is where our story began. For a year the two communicated through Facebook messaging, texting, and calling. Despite having never talked to one another face-to-face, their relationship was a strong friendship that continued to grow. It was the summer of 2015 when they had finally met one another. The moment she saw him standing in her doorway is a sight that she will never forget because little did she know but that is the day her whole world would change. They hit it off immediately and it was like they had known each other their whole life. They just clicked. The two were there for one another through many life changes. Jace was especially there for Kaitlin during her past relationships that she went through while they were friends. Its like they say, sometimes the person you're looking for is right in front of you. Finally, in April of 2016, the two became boyfriend and girlfriend. That summer Jace moved back home from being in the Army and he moved back home with her. Their love story grew and grew and their love created their beautiful baby girl, Katherine. It is a rare thing in life to be able to find your best friend, significant other, and soulmate all in one person. Jace and Kaitlin have found that in one another and it is truly a beautiful thing to behold.

Kaitlin gave birth to their beautiful daughter, Katherine on May 16, 2017. She was perfection and the amount of love their new family felt was unmeasurable. That was until Jace popped the question! The day after having their bundle of joy, Jace proposed to Kaitlin in the most surprising and adorable way. He did this with the help of his new baby girl of course. Katherine had come back from the nursery and first thing Kaitlin noticed was the outrageous huge bow that was on her daughters head. Anyone who knows Kaitlin knows that she is not one for the frilly things. Jace had brought her over to Kaitlin and she was bundled in the tightest swaddle imaginable. As she took off the bow and unraveled her swaddle, Katherine was wear an outfit that said "Mommy will you marry my daddy?" Kaitlin was in shock and kept asking him is he was serious and exploded with tears and happiness. Even with swollen pregnant fingers, Jace managed to put a ring on her finger after fumbling while saying that he didn't know which finger to put it on. The nurses cried and rejoiced and our family had finally felt complete.
