They passed each other countless times in their residential college, Elijah even sat behind Kaitlin at one of their freshman football games. She thought he was scary, he thought she was rude, but the fates had the last laugh. They officially became fast friends at the end of their freshman year and they grew closer that fall. Kaitlin made the first move and ask Elijah to be her formal date, but they didn't become official until about 5 hours later sitting outside their dorm building where they both expressed feelings for each other. Since then their relationship has blossomed into what it is today a quirky, fun, and an amazing love story, rooted in friendship. They have grown to appreciate their time together that much more- we're looking at you long-distance for 3 years. And they have experienced so many highs, from graduating from Baylor together to adopting both their sweet cats, Wifi and Livy. They cannot wait to celebrate their love for one another with everyone they care about the most- that's you guys!

With the help of Kaitlin's friends, Makenna and Rachel, Elijah lured Kaitlin to Waco, under the guise of a girls trip. While Kaitlin and her friends were at the spa getting pampered, Elijah and Ryan were setting up the chapel at their shared old residential college, Brooks, where the couple first met. Makenna proceeded to act like she had never set foot on the residential college, so Kaitlin could show her around- Makenna totally had been there before. When Kaitlin opened up the chapel doors she was met with candles lining the pews and the love of her life waiting anxiously for her to come to meet him at the pulpit. Upon setting her coffee down- because duh she had coffee- she walked down the aisle. Elijah got down on his knee and asked the all-important question "Will you marry me?" and of course Kaitlin said "Yes, a thousand times yes!"
