Our souls came together at Eli's on the Hill in Branford, CT. Both of us being in such a transitional point of our lives, we started chatting and instantly, with our deep conversation, we felt a connection. I knew I wanted to talk to Dave again, so I asked for his number. Long story short, I picked Dave up at a bar ;p After our romantic first date on Wooster street, I met Dave's Family and literally never left. We have been on the accelerated program ever since. I slept away from him ONE time after the first date and we FaceTimed until we fell asleep. We became one happy family with us, our two dogs, Moose and Maddie, and our cat, Maci. Months later we found out we were pregnant with our beautiful son. We knew we were with the person we wanted to go through this life with. He is an amazing father to our son, David. The most carrying partner. Our hobbies include being together, no matter what it is we are doing. Our relationship is built off of togetherness and communication. Some days are better than others, but we appreciate every breakthrough we have as a couple and every experience that comes our way. Timing is a mysterious thing, we truly came into each other's lives at the perfect time and we are strong believers that "we are meant to be". He is my soulmate and I am his.
In October of 2018, I took Kait to New Hampshire for the weekend. We spent a day at Portsmouth and after a full day of laughing we went to the docks. It was there that we both realized we have found our life partner, yes one month after meeting. Anyways, I knew this was going to be the spot I would propose to Kait. I was planning for it to be in May, but God had other plans. We found out we were having a baby just four months later. The proposal was bumped up to February, but I didn't care because I would have married her back in October, if I could have. We headed back to Portsmouth, back to our special dock, and nervous as hell, I drop down on one knee, pretending to clean my shoes. With a shaky voice I awkwardly blurted out, "Kaitlin, will you marry me". I had a full speech lined up, but those were the only words I could find. She looked at me silently, with nothing but a big smile on her face. As the seconds passed, feeling like years, I said "are you going to answer". Finally, she came to, and said yes. Thank God, I can breath again. When she tells the story, she says she shed a tear, but her ducts were as dry as the desert. That's when I knew I was marrying a heartless woman. Just kidding, she has the biggest heart and the most empathetic person I know and I am so happy to soon be able to call her my wife.
