FAQs

Question

What's the attire?

Answer

Think semi-formal, cocktail attire. Kilts are encouraged! Masks are required! We will have disposable surgical masks for those who forgot to bring one.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

The venue has some gravel and grass, so flat shoes are encouraged! If you'd like to wear heels, please choose wedges or add caps to heels so you can walk easier. You may also want to avoid suede or velvet shoes, or spray them with a waterproof coating.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes. There will be an open bar with beer and wine at the reception. We expect you to be able to handle whatever you drink so that you maintain social distancing and wear a mask when away from your table. Please keep in mind that this is north Georgia, so Uber and Lyft aren't widely available. Please have a DD with you. The roads are windy and through the wilderness, and deer are prevalent in the area! The wedding will be held during rutting season, which is mating season for deer. This makes them especially active, so please be careful.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please post your RSVP no later than September 20th. Our vendors want numbers pretty early. You can also RSVP on this site, send a text, or an email. Once we have them, we can start arranging seating to best follow CDC health guidelines.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We've taken efforts to ensure that nothing containing nuts, shellfish, or fish is served, just to be safe. There will be options for any kind of diet.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Here! We have a registry through Zola that is connected with multiple stores, and it has items for our honeymoon in Ireland!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We've made efforts to specifically include children in our invitations and counts. Please talk with your children about wearing masks and what behavior is acceptable given COVID conditions.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We've tried to include and account for established partners and married couples. We want everyone to have a good time, but please don't bring someone you have not been quarantined with! That being said, we aren't always aware of everyone's relationships. Please let us know your plan when you RSVP.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be at the venue no later than 3:45pm. You will need to get your temperature checked and to find your designated seat. Ceremony starts promptly at 4pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there's a parking lot. However, please try to carpool cause we're expecting quite a few of you! And please remember to have a DD if you're planning on drinking at the reception.

Question

Will you be upset if we choose not to come due to COVID19?

Answer

No. Absolutely not, we want you to be as safe as possible. If you or a member of your household is high risk especially, we want you to do what's best for your health. Our wedding video will be sent as soon as we have it to those who couldn't attend.
