We’re getting married!

Technically, Jon and I met online! But the real connection happened when we officially met in person. I invited him to a bar to see my friend’s band play and we talked the whole night. Had a few drinks, had a few laughs and barely paid attention to the music. We discovered a shared love of 80’s movies, tattoos, crazy dogs and the occasional road trip. We took our time in our relationship, spent time getting to know each other and make sure we really cared for each other before we met each others’ kids and families. Once everyone was together, it felt like family. A very big, loud, energetic, and exhaustingly perfect family.

Jon plotted and planned for months and completely surprised Kaitee with a Christmas proposal. He enlisted the help of his cousins to host a christmas party at their home. Everyone at the party knew what was about to transpire with the exception of Kaitee. So after boat loads of anticipation, Jon finally popped the question! Kaitee responded in shock with a few curse words and finally a “hell yes!”
