June 3rd of 2017, Kait met René for Bloody Marys at Holman’s a dive bar in Portland, Oregon. Their quick meet up for drinks turned into dinner at the Cuban restaurant Pambiche and more drinks. They had their second date. The next day. Their third date two days later. And the dates continued. 7.5 years later, they went to Pambiche again, one last time before they moved to San Diego, CA. They had a delicious dinner of their favorites and after they left the restaurant, René got down on one knee and asked Kait to marry him. She said yes!
