The story begins long before either of them realized it was a love story. Back in 6th grade, there was a little aspiring ballerina who loved rock music, and a fashionable rock kid with a passion for drawing. Over the years, their friendship quietly grew as they discovered just how much they had in common. By the end of their freshman year of high school, the two had become inseparable — bonding over music, school plays, house parties, frustrating classes, and some… questionable teenage relationship choices. They became a constant in each other’s lives, sharing some of the most formative years of growing up together. Not many people can say they watched their spouse grow up — or had a front-row seat to them occasionally earning detention. Even then, there was always an undeniable connection between them. Neither of them fully understood it at the time, and neither would truly recognize what it meant until years later, after they had gone off to college and started carving out lives of their own. As time passed and life carried them in different directions, they both learned to cherish those early memories and the special place they held in each other’s stories. Then, in 2019 during Miami Music Week, Max reached out to Kait to reconnect after years of nothing more than a distant Facebook friendship. Within just a few hours of talking, it became clear that something extraordinary had always been there between them. The connection felt effortless, familiar, and somehow brand new all at once. As if life had been quietly guiding them back to each other all along, everything began to fall into place. Less than a year later, Max moved to Florida to begin the next chapter of his life with Kait.
