Things To Do

The ceremony and reception will both be hosted at Scripps Seaside Forum located in the heart of La Jolla. There are lots of fun and interesting things to do within walking distance of any of the hotels in town including beaches, aquariums, and cocktail bars and restaurants overlooking the ocean.
La Jolla Cove

La Jolla Cove

1100 Coast Blvd, La Jolla, CA 92037

La Jolla Cove is one of the best spots in San Diego for swimming, diving and snorkeling. The water is calm and the cove is an ecological marine preserve. There is also a world famous dive site that is located in the La Jolla ecological preserve. You can walk along the cliffs on a path that runs from the cove around all of La Jolla down to Wind and Sea, and the more adventurous at the right time can find the local tide pools filled with sea anemones and other marine life.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography

Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography

2300 Expedition Way, La Jolla, CA 92037

Located just up the road from Scripps Seaside Forum, the Birch Aquarium is a place we've been visiting since we were kids growing up in San Diego, and it's one of our favorite places to spend an afternoon!

Torrey Pines Gliderport

Torrey Pines Gliderport

2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Dr, La Jolla, CA 92037

For something off the beaten path, you can travel up to the Torrey Pines Gliderport where hang gliders and paragliders jump off the cliff over the ocean. Enjoy the beautiful views from one of the highest points in La Jolla.

George's at the Cove

George's at the Cove

1250 Prospect St, La Jolla, CA 92037

One of our favorite date-night spots in San Diego, George's is an outdoor bar with the best views in La Jolla. We highly recommend going during sunset, but you might have to get there early or call ahead to get a spot!

Herringbone

Herringbone

7837 Herschel Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037
, (858) 459-0221

Herringbone is a great spot for late lunch, dinner, or drinks that features a half dozen 100 year old olive trees housed in a huge converted warehouse from the 1930s.

The Cottage

The Cottage

7702 Fay Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037
, +18584548409

The Cottage is one of our favorite breakfast spots in La Jolla! (We recommend the french toast) There is another place called Brockton Villa for breakfast that has incredible views, but it is located in close proximity to Seagull Rock.

Don Carlos Taco Shop

Don Carlos Taco Shop

737 Pearl St, UNIT 113, La Jolla, CA 92037

Best Mexican food in California. Fight me.
