Amir and Kailyn officially met in high school at Appoquinimink High School. Their parents and siblings already knew each other very well because of football, but Kailyn and Amir did not officially know each other at the time. Kailyn and Amir’s first very encounter together was in an environmental science class, Mr. Linehan’s class to be exact, where they sat near each other but not once ever exchanged words. Moving on to the second half of the school year, Kailyn’s friend at the time was dating Amir’s friend. Amir said to his friend “who is the friend of the girl you are seeing? I think she is really cute.” From there on out, Amir and his friend worked together to get Kailyn’s attention and it ultimately worked. Kailyn and Amir started to text each other almost every night, which led to facetime, which led to them sneaking to see each other during class in the hallways. Kailyn and Amir went to prom together where they spent a joyous night with their friends and where Amir officially asked Kailyn to be his girlfriend (May 12th, 2017). Through the ups and downs of life, Kailyn and Amir stood by each other’s side, facing new challenges, exploring the world, and deepening their faith in God together. Their journey has been a testament to the power of love, resilience, and unwavering commitment
