Ever heard the saying "The best things happen unexpectedly.?" Well, that's precisely where you will find the beginning of our relationship. For the first time in a long time, I had learned to enjoy being with my girls and was ecstatic for the start of my new adventure at Duke. Little did I know along would come a handsome man to sweep me off my feet. Looking back on it every date got a little better. I have a picture from our first night together and I captioned it "my future rep" - I don't think that was God's plan for the two of us. We enjoyed many fun weekends together including Panther's games, Duke games, my high school reunion - that's when I caught on that maybe we were a little more than friends. Short dinner dates became longer nights, which became weekends, and weeks spent together. We both said we have never spent such little time with someone but felt we had such a strong bond to them. No matter how stressful or hectic our lives were especially that first year we always made time for each other. We are both big kids at heart we love goofy cups and silly notes left to each other in the mornings before we go to work to name just a few. I can't even remember the last weekend we spent apart must have been in 2016. Ironically enough, we went to North Myrtle Beach for our anniversary August 20,2018 and in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on a place called Byrd Island after two hours of jet-skiing with dolphins I said "YES" to marrying the love of my life. On September 21st, 2019 we ask you to join us in standing by our side and celebrate as we begin our new adventure as newly - weds.
