Our Story
Our story doesn't start with a romantic meet-cute moment where we locked eyes from across the bar. We met in 2020, at the beginning of a global pandemic, so fate brought us together via a dating app. Thank goodness it did, because otherwise our paths would not have crossed. For our first date we went for a long walk (because bars and restaurants weren't open) and neither of us dreamed that moment would be the beginning of our life together.
We got engaged in August 2021 at Lake Tahoe. The engagement was a surprise - and we all know that Kailey loves surprises. We went for an evening walk on the beach and came up to a spot with rocks laid out to say, "I love you, K. Marry Me?" Kailey only read the "Marry Me?" part of the sentence and got really excited for whoever got engaged earlier that day. Casey got down on his knee, held out the ring, and a light bulb went off. A generous photographer offered to take photos, and it turned out to be a picture-perfect engagement!

This is our first photo together! Casey came to a going away party that Kailey was throwing for her friends, and luckily they didn't scare him away.
We're on a boat in Chicago! This was our first weekend away as a couple.
Casey surprised Kailey by proposing at Lake Tahoe!
Christmas in California and Kailey's first visit to Lake Tahoe.
Kailey's first MLB game was quite the event - Cleveland beat the White Sox 12-11.

This was an anniversary trip to South Haven, Michigan - it was a perfect weekend but very, very windy
We travelled to Minneapolis with friends to see an NFL game and Kailey learned how to properly cheer for the Browns (Here we go Brownies, here we go!)
