The Main Street in Frederick is packed with restaurants, bars, and shops and is a great place to walk through and explore! There is some street parking and a parking garage that makes it easy to access, or it is a quick Uber/Lyft from the hotels in Frederick.

Great brewery right in downtown Frederick. Even better- there are multiple breweries next door to it if you want to make your own mini beer tour.

Monocacy National Battlefield
Location of a battle over Washington, D.C. during the Civil War. Interesting place to learn about history, be outdoors and enjoy walking trails.
Buckeystown Park
The Monocacy River flows through Frederick and is a beautiful river to swim/tube/kayak in, picnic at, or hike around.

E W Beck's Restaurant & Pub
Local restaurant with decent environment in the heart of the Sykesville Main Street. Great spot to grab a drink or some food before perusing the Sykesville Main Street. Parking is located behind the restaurant! Tips for non-locals: ask for the “half and half” soup to get the Maryland soup special: 1/2 Cream of Crab Soup and 1/2 Maryland Crab Soup

Local brewery in Eldersburg where anyone local is bound to run into someone they know. They typically have a food truck outside for some food while at the brewery!
Morgan Run
If you’re looking to kill some time near the wedding location, Morgan Run is pretty and easy to access for a short hike or just hanging out by the running water. Look up Morgan Run Fishing Platform on Google Maps for the location!
Harpers Ferry
A bit further away but worth a visit if you have time, Harpers Ferry is a beautiful geographical and historical location at the joint of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Learn history from the Civil War, enjoy the sightseeing and hikes, visit the museums or stop in at the brewery.
