Ashley started her first Crossfit coaching job at the same gym Kailey spent most of her time at (aside from UCLA). The both of us quickly became friends with a group from the gym and all went to Yoga and Smorgasburg, a food truck festival. We drove together and to both of our surprise we both began belting out country singer Thomas Rhett's song "Grave." At Smorgasburg, we bonded over musubi, pineapple shrimp, and icecream. From there we were inseparable and the rest was history!
Ashley had been planning to propose for months. However, the pandemic ruined her plans to go to Santa Barabara on the original date she had set. She quickly scrambled and came up with an even better way to ask Kailey to marry her! On Kailey's birthday, they drove up to their favorite view in Malibu with Kailey's favorite lunch for a "picnic." There is where Ashley got down on one knee and frantically blurted out "Will you marry me?!" We are so excited to ring in the New Year with you! We will see you in MIll Valley!
