Point Defiance Park
Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington, United States, is a large urban park. The 760-acre (3.1 km2) park includes Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, the Rose Garden, Rhododendron Garden, beaches, trails, a boardwalk, a boathouse, a Washington State Ferries ferry dock for the Point Defiance-Tahlequah route to Vashon Island, Fort Nisqually, most notably about 400 acres of old-growth forest. It receives more than three million visitors every year.
Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park
Grab a coffee and Enjoy sweeping views on the 11-acre Dune Peninsula park. Walk, run and bicycle across the 605-foot-long, 50-foot-tall Wilson Way bridge which links Point Defiance Park to Ruston Way.
Chambers Bay Golf Course
For our golf lovers! With tawny fescue grasses, towering sand dunes, massive fairways, and breathtaking views of the Puget Sound and snow-capped Olympic Mountains, Chambers Bay brings the traditions of Scottish linksland to the Pacific Northwest. Some of golf’s great championships have been decided on these fairways and greens.
Owen Beach
Owens is THE go to place for Tacoma locals, It is a wonderful pepple beach dotted with driftwood and a fun walkway along the puget sound.
Titlow Beach
Titlow Beach is in Tacoma, Washington, USA. It is located along Puget Sound near the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. It has a beach, community center, park, water play area, one restaurant., a view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, a small boardwalk, and is a popular scuba diving area.
Ruston Way Waterwalk
One of the most popular amenities at Point Ruston is the nearly mile-long scenic “Waterwalk” pedestrian trail system along Commencement Bay. Enjoy There boutique shops, restaurants and more.
Wooden City Tacoma
Wooden city is one of my favorite restaurants! Dan and I had our first official date here, it definitely holds a special place in our hearts. There craft cocktails are delicious, my personal favorite is there whiskey sour. Their dry rubbed wings are also a hit. Walking distance to devils reef, matodor and McMenamins elk temple.
Matador Tacoma
Great Happy Hour spot! We love their margaritas and nachos! Walking distance to devils reef, wooden city and McMenamins elk temple. Happy Hour: Daily 4-6pm, 10pm- midnight (1am Fri/Sat)
En Rama
Warm, cozy eatery serving homestyle Italian grub alongside cocktails & wine! I love their lavender cocktail and whiskey sours here. Great charcuterie boards on happy hour!

Nautical themed exotic drink and rum bar! Right across from wooden city, I suggest getting a drink her before your reservation at wooden city.
Boran Royal Thai Cuisine
Great Thai on Ruston Way! We love everything here! outside fireplace and heaters outside. watch the sunset after dinner and take a walk along the waterfront right across from you.!
The Boom Boom Room Tacoma
Tacoma's only mid-century craft cocktail lounge. Get the French fries to soak up the goodness! Perfect place to go after our wedding if you don’t want the night to end, It’s right down the block from our venue.
Dusty’s Hideaway
Great lunch spot! Casual outdoor seating and great sandwiches and tots! order Dustys sauce for dipping!

McMenamins Elks Temple
Seven floors of fun, art, history and delicious food & drink in the heart of Tacoma. There’s a tiki bar/restaurant, a speakeasy and pubs. Fun place to walk around with a group. And in walking distance to several other restaurants if you just wanted a drink here.
Le Sel Bistro
Charming breakfast spot. Their eggs Benedict and cappuccinos our perfection! Also heard there dinner menu is amazing too. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time.

Coffeezaun Espresso
Drive thru coffee and food. Great breakfast and coffee on the go. We love their burritos, croissant bacon melts and hazelnut lattes. We often go here to grab snacks and go walk in point defiance park. Don’t let the exterior fool you, it’s one of the best spots!
El Gaucho Tacoma
Looking for amazing steak? This is the place to go. Elegant steakhouse offering a menu of high-end classics like Angus beef & seafood.

Best Asian fusion restaurant! I recommend ordering a few plates and share family style.

Hip, rustic-chic spot for Southeast Asian fare ranging from dumplings & curry to pad Thai & banh mi. The food is so fresh! Highly recommend!
Metropolitan Market Tacoma
Best market to grab some Groceries or grab lunch on the go before you on an adventure around Tacoma. Get “The cookie” located in the bakery. They serve them warm, it’s the best cookie you with ever have, you wont regret it!
Leavenworth
If your up for an adventure just 2 1/2 hours from Tacoma is a village called Leavenworth. It is a Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains, in central Washington State. Alpine-style buildings with restaurants serving German beer and food line Front Street. It is such a fun day trip and the drive up there is beautiful.
University Village
Located just 45 mins from Tacoma is University Village. Its Seattle's only outdoor lifestyle shopping center, offering a unique mix of locally-owned boutiques, signature national retailers, and a distinct collection of restaurants and eateries. It’s one of my favorite places to shop and they have amazing restaurants. You could easily spend all day here. Its honestly the most beautiful shopping village. Feeling hungry? Go to Mr. West for brunch, they have great coffee/drinks and there avocado toast is spot on. Dan’s personal favorite is the restaurant Din Tia Fung, there dumplings are to die for. Joeys is also a great place for appetizers and drinks. Highly recommend going here for a fun shopping day.
