This restaurant is right next door to Streetside. We recommend their wings, especially the Sultan's Gold dry rub!
Kaileigh's favorite espresso martini is made here, and it's so good it's ruined all the rest for her! That's saying something for the girl who says every margarita is the best one she's ever had.
Daylily is a joyful little bodega, and it's quite likely where K and I will be sneaking in a breakfast together on our big day. We recommend their sandwiches highly!
This BBQ joint is so good that I (Kate) almost wanted to plan the wedding around it, but cocktail party vibes won out. The smoked turkey and pulled pork sandwiches are both amazing, as are their grits, mashed potatoes, coleslaw... excuse me while I go pitch a new dinner plan as I type this.
If you're an empanada fan, check this one out!
Hear us out... this is actually amazing. It's also the most Ohio thing we can think of, so if there's any out-of-towners with a couple of hours to kill, consider it. Also... text us, because there's always a coins-flip chance we show up. Love Fowling!
Feeling fancier? This is hands-down the place we go to treat ourselves to excellent tapas. They have been a finalist for a James Beard award, and we can tell why every time we've gone.
Findlay Market is classic Cincinnati, and it should be toward the top of your list if you haven't made it yet! It's also on the Streetcar route, so it's free and easily accessible from many of the downtown hotels!
The love letter I want to write to Ghost Baby... I'll just summarize to say that it's a bar/lounge with live music that is four stories under Vine Street in repurposed tunnels formerly used by a Cincinnati brewing company to keep their beer cold. If you're not sold, I can't sell you. This place is amazing.
The Blind Lemon is the closest Cincinnati has to offer to entering Tolkien's Shire. We say this with all the gravitas it deserves.
The view here is amazing!
In 2022 Cafe Mochiko was named by Bon Appetit Magazine as one of the 50 Best New Restaurants in the country, and their chef/baker was a finalist for multiple James Beard awards. Bonus points to Hannah who found this amazing spot with us a couple of years ago!!
I'm not sure how this place survived us moving to DC. It's on the river, and it's a favorite spot for us to bring visitors. If it sounds potentially compelling and it's on the menu in December (both real if's), please be brave enough to try the jalapeno beer!
There's an event at the Cincinnati Art Museum that sounds so cute, and we are likely to check it out this winter season. We do super hope that one or more of you will check it out and share pictures with us, because we won't have time until after the wedding! (Also, the Art Museum itself is worth it, even without this event, obviously)
The ice rink down in Fountain Square is the place to be on a cold, crisp, winter night. We'll have to see what the weather holds for us in a few weeks, but we recommend it as a lovely activity if the stars align!
The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is in Cincinnati on Friday, December 6th at 3:00 and 7:30. We just think that's so cool and that everyone should know about it!
This museum is just such a joy. Also, the Union Terminal is immersive. We love this city so much.
