Things To Do

Coeur de Terre Vineyard

Coeur de Terre Vineyard

21000 Southwest Eagle Point Road, McMinnville, OR 97128

The McMinnville/Newberg area is Oregon's Tuscany. It's also the place where we eloped on 12.29.2020! There are plenty of great wineries for tastings, tours, and exploring. Coeur de Terre is one of our favorites, but there are plenty more to choose from. Learn more: https://mcminnvilleava.org/ If you don't have a lot of extra time, there are also a few options right outside of Corvallis: https://www.visitcorvallis.com/wineries

Oregon Coast

Oregon Coast

700 NW Coast St, Newport, OR 97365

The Oregon coast is famous for its spectacular cliffs and rock formations, hikes through old growth forest, beach combing (agates & moonstones abound), tide pooling, and more! Newport is the closest coastal city to Corvallis and includes beaches, an aquarium, breweries, and cute coastal shops. If you have more time and want to explore other parts of the coast, there are plenty more places with different attractions. To learn more, check out: https://visittheoregoncoast.com/

Portland, OR

Portland, OR

2960 NW Upshur Street, Portland, OR 97210

Get weird in Portland with all the restaurants, bars, shopping, museums, parks, and tours you could ever want! You can learn about some of the darker history of Portland on a haunted tour of the underground Shanghai Tunnels, visit Hopscotch immersive art gallery, or visit the famous Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI - kids love this place!). One of our favorite things to do in Portland is visit Forest Park where you can find the International Rose Garden, the Portland Japanese Garden, Hoyt Arboretum, and Pittock Mansion.

Mount Hood

Mount Hood

27500 E Timberline Road, Government Camp, OR 97028

If you're looking for a nature escape, Mt. Hood is the highest point in Oregon's Cascade mountain range and the closest to Portland. Find amazing views, hikes, camping, and swimming spots within this Pacific Northwest paradise. Its Timberline Lodge is famous for being the hotel where the movie The Shining was filmed. There are also plenty more outdoor adventures along the rest of the Cascade Range and throughout Oregon: https://traveloregon.com/things-to-do/outdoor-recreation/

Smith Rock State Park and Bend, OR

Smith Rock State Park and Bend, OR

10087 NE Crooked River Dr, Terrebonne, OR 97760

Smith Rock State Park is located in Central Oregon, near the city of Bend, OR. This area will make you feel like you've been transported from the lush green rainforest of western Oregon into the red rocks of Utah. A high desert, the landscape is completely different from Corvallis and full of gorgeous views and endless skies. Smith Rock State Park features a stunning red rock formation you can hike within and is one of our favorite spots. If hiking isn't your thing, there are plenty more opportunities nearby in Bend, including floating the Deschutes River and touring the vibrant downtown area filled with restaurants, breweries, shopping, and more: https://visitbend.com/
