We met the way every good teenage love story starts: through a bold move on social media. It was my freshman year of high school and his sophomore year. I saw him at the movies with his dad and couldn’t stop thinking about him. So naturally, I did what any girl with a crush and an internet connection would do—I lowkey stalked him. I managed to find his Instagram, and after some careful deliberation (and maybe a few screenshots to friends), I decided to slide into his DMs. At first, he wasn’t exactly sold on me. Let’s just say the interest wasn’t mutual right away. But I didn’t give up. I kept reaching out, showing him who I was, and little by little, he let his guard down. Eventually, he gave in—and that’s when everything changed. From hallway glances and lunch breaks to long conversations and late-night FaceTimes, our connection grew into something real. We experienced the rollercoaster of high school together: school dances, awkward phases, inside jokes, weekend plans, and the kind of moments that only happen when you're growing up side by side. Over the years, we became each other’s person. We stuck together through the chaos of growing up—college applications, family changes, figuring out who we were as individuals, and who we wanted to be together. What started as a teenage crush turned into a deep, steady love built on friendship, growth, and an incredible amount of laughter. Then came the proposal—on the beach at Half Moon Bay, one of the most beautiful and meaningful places to us. He got down on one knee while my family and closest friends hid in the bushes, secretly recording and watching it all unfold. When I said yes, they all came out cheering, and we celebrated one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives together. Now, here we are—planning a wedding and preparing for the next chapter of our lives. It still feels surreal that a simple message all those years ago led to this: a lifetime of love, partnership, and endless adventures.
