Thomas and I met from a distance while we worked at Chenega. He would hold the doors open for me (with the occasional locking me out), wait for me to walk into work then drive away afterwards, wave to me constantly, always found my new desk assignment, and even dropped off lunch for me in my supervisors office; to sum it up, yes, he stalked me. It wasn’t until Thomas put in his two weeks, where he decided he wanted to find his forever person...but he found me. Thomas decided to message me on Instagram, where I took the longest six minutes, of his life, to reply. He then invited me for a miserable walk at the Lake Ridge Marina; where he was sweating through his clothes and I went home covered in mosquito bites. From that day on I couldn’t get rid of him, until the Army took him from me. Our last month in VA together was full of love and laughter causing us to easily fall in love with one another’s goals, dreams, past, and future! He drove me to work every morning - with breakfast of course - helped with Lyla, dinner, cleaning, and bedtime until the day he left. Thomas was my Prince Charming in the flesh, so naturally he moved to three different states, two different time zones, and found the farthest place from me to live. But even through all the distance, our love has grown stronger, we continue to learn about one another, and manage to give each other headaches from 2,400 miles away. Thomas caught my heart early and to make me his forever he brought us back to our horrible first date. We were the only ones on the docks, it started like every proposal you see in the movies but was quickly interrupted by my obsession with pimple popping and skin picking. But even after that, he still asked me to marry him and I said “YES!” Lyla and I can’t wait to start our lives together, wherever that may bring us. Always come home to me. I love you long time.
Ahh, where to start? Kaila and I worked in the same building for several months and from the very moment I saw her it was love at first sight; she just wasn’t looking. However, being the most beautiful girl comes with this crippling intimidation factor. So naturally I did what any man with common sense would do.... that's right, I accepted that I had no chance and continued to enjoy her company from a distance; holding the door for her at work and timing things just right to where we had to run into each other at least twice a day. After a few months had gone by and with a little courage, powered by my two weeks' notice hitting my supervisor's desk, I felt like a man and decided I would reach out to that beautiful girl! (What did I have to lose right? I was leaving for the Army in a month) Now what happened next, I will never fully understand, nor will I question it (EVER), but that beautiful girl gave me a chance! All it took was a few Starbucks trips for chocolate milk, a late-night trip to the airport, and taking the hit and having to eat the round nuggets. That’s when I knew this was the girl I was going to marry. Since then, I only grow fonder of her and our beautiful little girl, Lyla. I can't wait for the two of them to be by my side, watching our little girl grow up, and being able to grow old with those beautiful brown eyes that hold this soldier's heart. I'll Always Come Home To You I love you Forever And Always My Deer.
