We met one day in Lafayette, IN after messaging each other online for a few days, while both attending Indiana State University. Our first date was at the BRU Burger restaurant (amazing parmesan garlic fries btw). After we ate, we chatted for several hours. Even though it was our first time meeting each other, we felt so comfortable and relaxed. We started dating just about a month after.

When going up north to see Kahlil's family, we went on a date in Chicago (The Gage - great food here as well). After the date, we took an early night stroll on the University of Chicago campus to take a cute picture together. Kahlil propped up the camera and asked me to check if the angle was good, and when I turned around he was on one knee. He asked "Will you marry me?" and the rest is history! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Lafayette!
