Danielle Lang

Matron of Honor

Danielle lives in Orlando with her husband and two teen boys. She is a music and drama educator for Orange County Public Schools as well as a performer in Central Florida Danielle met Shonda, 9 months pregnant while running a dance audition for Theatre Downtown's production of The Wiz! She remembers Shonda's light and talent, Shonda remembers the hilarity of watching a dancer hustling a pregnant belly whilst booty bumping to "Brand New Day". About a year later, their fateful friendship continued when they found themselves sitting in the same conference room during an orientation for UCP of Central Florida's Bailes Campus. They pretty much instantly became life-long friends, sisters, and found incredible bonds in their parallel lives as performers and educators. That baby has been outside the bump for 14 years, and Shonda's wisdom, grace, and calm and loving insight has been at the center of all of Danielle's important life moments for all of the years since then. Danielle is ecstatic to stand next to Shonda and be a part of one of the most glorious days in her life, and hopefully return the gifts of support Shonda has given her and so many others! She sends love filled congratulations to Shonda and Kahlid on starting their "Brand New Day"!

Becky lives in Windermere, FL with her husband, three kids, and dachshund Howie. Becky and Shonda met during some auditions and hit it off right away. Shonda is the ONLY person who could hold every single one of Becky’s babies and they would not cry. She is the ultimate Auntie Shonda.

Trixie Agrinsoni Brown

Trixie is a spicy Puerto Rican and Italian woman jammed packed with passion! She is a lover of the arts and has had the pleasure sharing stages with some prestigious big hitters including the gorgeous Shondungst! These two ladies were dressing roommates and oh the stories they have! Days were filled with intimate topics of life along side moments of laughter, tears, prayer, and breakthrough. Trixie has said that Shonda is truly one of the best hidden talents with a BIG HEART! “I thank God for allowing us to have crossed paths and I can say I am blessed to have someone as loving as her on my side! Big sis forever.”

Christina Disla

Bridesmaid

Christina Disla lives in Celebration, Florida with her two poodles Jolie and Diego. She has worked for Disney in various capacities for over a decade and is also a Grief Coach and Founder of Oscar’s Legacy Pet Loss Grief Support. Christina and Shonda met while they were both performing in a local production of the musical Rent. I let Shonda borrow a copy of a book that I was reading—Precious. We got to talking, and the rest is history! Shonda has been a great support to me and has visited with my family over Thanksgiving dinners and even learned to make empanadas from my Mother’s recipe. She is a great friend, but even more so, a sister of my heart. It is a joy and an honor to see Shonda’s dreams come true in marriage and I cannot wait to watch her walk down the aisle! Congratulations to Shonda and Khalid!

Lula is an artist to the core and is excited to “make the aisle pretty for Auntie Shonda.” She loves her musical theatre dance class, art class, and her silks/acro class. She also enjoys designing houses out of Lego blocks.
