Katherine and Wesley’s journey began in October 2021 after matching on Bumble — although they already had met while Kaethe was working at Angies Subs in Jacksonville Beach. Their first date was at Casa Marina, where they shared martinis on the rooftop and talked and laughed for hours. By the end of the night, Katherine called her mom and said she thought she might marry this guy. Since then, they’ve shared countless adventures together — from cruises and ski trips to spontaneous weekend getaways. In August 2025, while walking their puppy Maisie through the beautiful botanical gardens in Highlands, North Carolina, Wesley got down on one knee and asked Katherine to marry him. Now, they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their love and say “I do” surrounded by all of their friends and family this September!
