A convalidation ceremony is a religious ceremony where a couple who have already been married in a civil ceremony officially have their marriage recognized as valid by the Catholic Church.
Technically, no. For personal reasons, we got married in a small civil ceremony in October 2025. However, this is our church ceremony and our actual wedding celebration, so we still view it as our official wedding even though we are legally married.
Please note the party allowance on your personal invitation.
Kindly RSVP by Saturday, March 14, 2026. If we do not hear from you, we will assume you cannot attend.
Please arrive to the church at least fifteen minutes prior to 1:00 p.m. to ensure the ceremony starts on time.
St. Lawrence has a spacious parking lot. The Shade, where the reception will be, has valet parking and a limited number of metered spots. Because of that, we highly recommend you carpool with loved ones or Uber to and from the reception. If you are driving yourself, you can reach out to us and we can let you know where the free parking near the reception venue is, if you are interested.
Yes, there will be a one-hour gap of time between the ceremony and the reception, which you can use for your leisure. Grab a coffee or a bite to eat. Walk at the beach. Go home and put your feet up. Cocktail hour will start promptly at 3:00 p.m. at the reception venue.
The reception venue is 2.8 miles from the church - about a ten to fifteen minute drive.
Yes! Please kindly let us know of your food allergy on or before the RSVP date.
Our wedding reception is scheduled to end at 9:00 p.m. We acknowledge this is a long reception, so if you would not like to stay the whole time, we will not be offended if you leave early.
The wedding is semi-formal. In case you would like to note, the wedding party will be in light purple. Also, the bride has an aversion to the color yellow, and the groom has an aversion to pantsuits.
The ceremony will be taking place indoors in a church. For the reception, the cocktail hour will be outside, and the rest of the reception will be inside. However, the reception venue has outdoor space if you want fresh air.
During the ceremony, we ask that you not take photos in the church until the end of the mass, out of respect for the service. We will have a professional photographer taking pictures, so we will not miss any sweet moments! At the reception, photos are welcome and encouraged.

We do not have a traditional registry, as we both have accumulated plenty of home goods throughout our lives. However, if you would like to give us a present, which is not necessary, we do have a honeymoon fund!
