We met at high school band camp in July of 2014. We both played trumpet so we had no choice but to spend quite a bit of time together. We became great friends and little did we know that despite a 2 year age gap and a 3 year grade gap, we’d start dating a little over a year later on October 9, 2015. Even during our almost 3 year break, we stayed great friends and ultimately ended up back together on May 30, 2023. On Christmas Day 2024, Austin asked Kirsten to marry him in front of their families in the spot where they dream to build their home one day.
