What should I wear? What is "Garden Party Formal"?

Answer

Garden Party Formal is a dress code that combines elements of formal attire with a relaxed, outdoor vibe. The venue will be a mix of outdoor and indoor, with some grass and potentially uneven terrain such as cobblestone paths. There should be at least one smooth route to get where you need to go, but keep your footwear in mind when planning your outfit! Think of it as a blend of elegance and comfort. It's about looking polished and put-together, but in a way that's suitable for an outdoor setting. Feminine attire could mean a chic midi or floor length dress. Masculine attire could be a suit or blazer. Pick nice footwear that you can navigate outdoors in. So, while it's a step down from black tie, it's definitely a step up from casual.

What is the wedding party wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids will be wearing floor length dark teal dresses, and the groomsmen will be wearing charcoal suits.

Adult Only Wedding- can I bring my child?

Answer

We politely request no children attend the ceremony and reception. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There will be surface lot parking available. If you are staying at the castle, you may park in the registration lot (P1 on the map) by the lobby to check in. The receptionist will then direct you where to park that is closest to your room/ cottage. Check in will begin around 3 pm, please arrive with enough time to check in prior to the ceremony start time. If you are NOT staying at the castle but still driving to the venue, please park in the event parking lot (P4 on the map.) Don't forget to plan ahead and designate a sober driver if you plan on drinking and will not be taking the shuttle to/from our hotels.

What's the shuttle situation?

Answer

There will be a shuttle available to pick you up from the Mohican Lodge and Conference Center and the Hemlock Inn. It departs from the Mohican Lodge at 4:30 pm and will arrive to pick up guests form the Hemlock around 4:45 pm. The shuttle will be able to return you to each hotel after the reception, departing at various intervals, last call at 12:30 am.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We love our venue, but it can get a tad confusing to navigate! Please see the map above and prepare accordingly to give yourself enough time to arrive. For those staying at the castle, check in begins around 3 pm. For those driving to and from the venue, we prefer an earliest guest arrival of 5 pm, though we understand if you have to arrive earlier to give yourself enough time to navigate and get situated.
