Sometimes God brings two people together in the most unexpected ways — like Hinge... we hit “like,” and everything else fell into place. We met a few days later on February 16, 2025 at a little Mexican restaurant in Marshfield. Conversation was easy, the night flew by, and by 'goodbye' we both knew we had to see each other again. A month later, on a March 22 road trip to the Porcupine Mountains, we spent the day exploring and laughing. Over dinner on the way home, Jed asked Kaelyn to be his girlfriend — an easy, immediate yes. The proposal came on October 12, 2025 at Rib Mountain, right in the middle of peak fall colors. After a cozy weekend at a friend’s cabin, Jed suggested a scenic chairlift ride (and even told Kaelyn to dress up — suspicious). At the top, we found a quiet lookout with a stunning view. Jed stepped back, Kaelyn turned around, and he was on one knee with the perfect ring. She said yes through happy tears. We rode down the mountain calling our families and soaking in the moment — grateful, excited, and ready for the next chapter. Now we can’t wait to keep living this story — as husband and wife.
Only our parents and siblings will be at our wedding but, we can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you as newlyweds!
This year is a big season of change for us — in the best way. In April, we’ll be moving from Wisconsin to North Carolina, where Jed will begin training for his new role. We’ll be there throughout the spring and summer before moving again in the fall to Tennessee, where he’ll be helping open a new plant. Knoxville will eventually become our long-term home. With two major moves happening back-to-back and Jed stepping into an exciting new position, we realized that planning a large wedding simply wasn’t realistic. So we made the decision to have a small, intimate ceremony with just our parents and siblings. Keeping things simple allows us to focus on what truly matters — committing our lives to one another before God — without the stress of coordinating a big event during such a hectic and transitional season. Even though our ceremony will be small, we didn’t want to leave any of our friends or extended family out of the joy. You all mean so much to us. Once we’re settled in Knoxville, we would genuinely love to have visitors and share our new home with the people we love. We’re really looking forward to welcoming friends and family once life slows down a bit after the move. Thank you for understanding our plans, cheering us on, and loving us through all the changes happening at once. We’re incredibly grateful for each one of you.
The best address to send things to is listed on our registry, check the 'registry' tab on this website!
NO, Kaelyn is not pregnant.... sometimes when you know, you know. But don't worry, we'll make sure all of you know whenever that happens
