El Ambia is a cozy Cuban spot we’ve loved to visit throughout our relationship—it was even the site of one of our first dates! If you go, we highly recommend the lechón (slow-roasted pork), Hemingway rice, and the classic ropa vieja. And don’t skip the cafecito!
Long Doggers is a laid-back local chain that’s perfect for a casual bite. We recommend any of the bowls or the fish sandwich—and don’t miss the Carib Pineapple Cider (one of Kaelen’s favorites)!
DaKine’s is a laid-back burrito spot in Satellite Beach—perfect for a pre- or post-beach bite. We’re big fans of the Insane Burrito with pork or the Gringo Star, and don’t forget to load up on their hot sauce!
Skewers is a great Mediterranean spot. If you go, don’t miss the eggplant caprese appetizer—and definitely save room for a slice of their cake.
Mulberry Lane Café is a classic no-frills breakfast diner with all the usual staples—but the real star is their muffins. The blueberry is a go-to, but the coffee cake muffin is Kaelen's favorite.
Juice 'N Java has been one of Kaelen’s favorite spots since high school—a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or a coffee. Top picks: the Hurricane Blues smoothie, pesto chicken sandwich, and the Java Turtle coffee.
The Cottage is one of our favorite bars in the area. It's a casual Irish bar with a super cute patio and great cocktails.
Coconuts on the Beach is a casual, divey spot right on the water—great for a drink and some coconut shrimp.
Del’s Freez is one of our favorite spots for a sweet treat. We especially love their freezes (like a DQ blizzard), the coffee shake, or the Boston shake—a milkshake with a sundae floating on top!
Oasis Shaved Ice is a Cocoa Beach staple, perfect for cooling off after a day in the sun. Their shaved ice is seriously good—with tons of flavors and the perfect texture.
Melbourne Beach Market is a great local spot to grab a bottle of wine, a sub, or a slice of pizza.
