In the summer of 2023 I (Kaelee) was moving back to San Marcos and I was invited by my friend Christian Maldonado to try out his church, Landmark. I was interested in building my San Marcos community and so I eagerly agreed. If you do not know Christian, he is a connector, a people person, a networker if you will. The Sunday I joined him in early June he was introducing me to people left and right sharing some detail about either them or myself that would give us some common ground. Towards the end of introductions he showed me to the door and introduced me to the greeter, "This is my friend Jordan. He's an aggie". Landmark met in the evenings in the summer and every Sunday after church a large group would go to dinner. That first Sunday Jordan and I shared a conversation about Marvel, Star Wars, C. S. Lewis, and the infamous TAMU vs LSU football game (you know the important things). From there I made an effort to sit next to him at dinner every Sunday so I could get to know this guy better, and he made an effort to engage in conversation with me. We spent the whole month of June fist bumping our aggie rings and getting to know each other at various church events. Jordan finally asked me on a date at the end of June after a church family picnic. "Kaelee Crowder may I please take you on a date?", "Yes of course, you may take me on a date!". After a trip to the mountains of Colorado with one of his best buddies, Poole, Jordan decided to come back and make it official by asking me to be his girlfriend at the San Marcos river. After a summer, fall, and winter full of pursuing the Lord, fun adventures, Cabela's trips, ice cream dates, building community, eating at Dons, laughter, cooking together, growing together, and a LOT of Skip-Bo, Jordan asked me to marry him at the San Marcos river on January 7, 2024. Now that we're all caught up... Jordan and I are so excited to share this story and this upcoming season with all of you! We want to build a marriage that is centered around the gospel, around serving the Lord, one another, and our community. We want to use our marriage to glorify the Lord in ways we couldn't on our own. We want you to be a part of celebrating and fellowshipping with us as we become one on June 7, 2024! What an exciting beginning to our story... I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned!
