Maid of Honor
Kaela's twin and bestiestestiest friend in the entire world. No one can make Kaela laugh quite like Katie! The best ab workout Kaela has ever experienced is erupting into sissy giggles. They grew up attached at the hip and still talk nearly every day. They will always have each other's backs literally and figuratively.
Best Man
Carlos has been one of George's best friends since 7th grade. They became such good friends that George successfully convinced his mom to move to the same apartment complex as Carlos when they were starting high school. To this day, George knows he can call Carlos when he needs a confidant or a big favor and Carlos will assist at the drop of a hat.
Bridesmaid
Melissa is without a doubt the person who knows post-grad Kaela best. With many shared experiences - surviving George and Sam's first year of law school, CG workouts, and now wedding planning - Mel and Kaela are so similar that people in their apartment complex are convinced they are sisters. Although they may not be sisters, they are proud aunts of each other's pups!
Groomsman
George laughs at just about every mention of Steve. Whether it be on the basketball court or in their friends' group chat, there is no question that Steve can be trusted to liven up a conversation with his antics. With Steve's entertainment also comes a person who has taken care of his friends countless times.
Bridesmaid
Jacqueline is one of those friends that just understands and supports you regardless of your differences. Although very different from Kaela, Jaq is one of Kaela's very favorite people. Goofy, easy-going, and wild, Jaq balances Kaela out perfectly. From Duke, to Copenhagen, and back to Austin (where Jaq is also from), Kaela and Jacqueline saw each other at least once a week for their 4 years at Duke. Jaq and Kaela don't get to see each other as much as they'd like, but when they do, they pick up right where they left off.
Groomsman
Another close friend from 7th grade, Dalton has been there for George through virtually every stage of his life. Whether he's looking for a card night, a Call of Duty partner, or a lift in spirits, George knows he can always rely on Dalton. Not only is Dalton someone that keeps George entertained for hours, but everyone that knows Dalton knows that he is one of the most caring people you'll ever meet.
Bridesmaid
Kaela's freshmen year roommate, Kara's seen every aspect of Kaela and George's relationship. She put up with daily FaceTime calls and even George's snoring when he fell asleep on the phone. She welcomed George into their dorm room with open arms anytime he got a chance to visit. Also from Austin, Kara and Kaela have been on many adventures together at home and at Duke.
Groomsman
Cristian has been a calming presence since he and George became friends Freshman year. An "up for anything" type, George knows he can always call on Cristian to meet up at a brewery or restaurant, or simply hop online to play some games. Cristian is the type who, along with his girlfriend and George's close friend Alyssa, offered his home when George was planning to live in Austin to work last summer before the pandemic altered plans.
Bridesmaid
Natasha and Kaela have known each other for 18 years and have been best friends for 17. They would even plan matching outfits to wear in elementary school. Both dancers, many of their sleepovers would involve making up dance routines or watching dance videos on YouTube. Although separated during college, when they got the chance to catch up, it was like nothing had changed. Kaela even got the chance to visit Natasha in London while studying abroad! Natasha will always be one of Kaela's longest and dearest friends.
Groomsman
Many on the Hilltop have called Zach the Michael Jordan of St. Edward's intramural basketball. George was along for the ride on 5 of Zach's 6 intramural championships after building a friendship that began Freshman year during daily ping pong tournaments. Since day 1, Zach has been one of George's closest friends and a person he can always rely on.
Bridesmaid
Claire and Kaela met while auditioning for their dance group Momentum during their first month of college. Claire was one of Kaela's very first and closest friends at Duke. They danced side by side for 4 years and even helped lead Momentum together, Claire as president and Kaela as artistic director. With Claire also in Durham post-grad, they've gotten to continue to spend time together, exploring new restaurants and breweries while reminiscing on college shenanigans.
Groomsman
Yet another friendship that has lasted since Freshman year. They (along with Steve, Zach, and many other wedding attendees) built an intramural basketball dynasty the likes of which might never be replicated on the Hilltop. There is no telling how many nights were spent at Walker's house playing games or studying for accounting/finance exams, but from those nights came an understanding that Walker is a great friend who can be trusted to steer you in the right direction.
Officiant
Kaela and George's best mutual friend - Sammy has seen it all. From prom and summer board game nights to holiday party set up and road trips to Duke, Sammy has never shied away from the craziness at the K-G house or Kaela and George's silly, unfounded fights. A loyal friend and a total goofball, Kaela and George couldn't be more honored to have Sammy marry them.
Groomsman
Matt and George met each other when they taught at Breakthrough Austin the summer before George's senior year of high school and Matt's freshman year of college. It's hard to explain why, but they immediately clicked to the point that when someone from Breakthrough was looking for one of us, they knew they were essentially searching for both of us. After teaching together, George and Matt have continued a friendship that George can always rely on.
