Things To Do

We absolutely love Fort Collins and are so excited to share some favorite spots with our favorite people! We've put together a list of fun stuff to do and see around town (and beyond) that we hope you'll find time to enjoy!

Hiking

We compiled a list of some of our favorite hikes around Northern Colorado (NoCo) on AllTrails - use the link below to explore them! There are sooo many more trails to check out than what we've provided, we encourage anyone to explore the area on AllTrails or COTREX. If you decide to go for a hike please note it's important to start early to avoid afternoon thunderstorms that frequently roll through the mountains. If hiking above treeline, make sure to be on the descent by 12pm to avoid lightening risk. Also, make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and be rattlesnake-aware!

Old Town Fort Collins

Old Town is Fort Collins' historic downtown filled with restaurants, breweries, and shops! There is always something to do and see - you might find Carl & Kaela window shopping, playing cards with friends, or grabbing a bite in Old Town on any given day of the week :) p.s. check out Nuance Chocolate for a flight tasting of single-origin chocolate bars, Old Town Putt for a round of mini golf with a beer, or the Trimble Court Artisans or the Museum of Art Fort Collins to experience some local art!

Favorite Breweries

Fort Collins is a mecca for micro-breweries! Kaela & Carl love to find a sunny brewery patio on a warm day and relax playing a game of mini-chess :) Some of our favorites are: Odell Brewing Company Equinox Brewing Company Stodgy Brewing Company Mythmaker Brewing Verboten Brewing North Salt Road Brewing Prost Brewing (Fort Collins) Intersect Brewing Gilded Goat (Downtown)

Trail system through Fort Collins

Fort Collins has a beautiful and expansive trail system for biking & walking through town! There are many Spin electric bikes & scooters scattered around that you can find & ride through their app - which is a great way to get outside! We love the Poudre Trail and the Spring Creek trail.

Rocky Mountain National Park

We are so lucky to live only about an hour from RMNP! Be aware that August is prime hiking season and so RMNP will be very busy. There is a timed entry permitting system so make sure to secure your spot well in advance if you plan to visit!
