Many of us can relate to the story of the high school sweetheart. The one you shared glances with, had awkward first dates with, the one you took to prom. Kaela and Austin have known each other since 2010. Falling madly in love as high school came to a close. After Kaela's entire family moved to the northwest, she stayed in Louisiana, dealing with school and the pitfalls of youth. Ultimately she followed her support network to the PNW. Austin tried to build in his home town. For a long time, there was silence. Then in the summer of 2020, in the shadow of a pandemic, Austin and his best friend decided to change their course. With nothing but the promise of a job they ran across the country and, in short order, the two long lost soulmates came together again. Through several years of growth, and struggle, and pain, their bond was forged anew, stronger than ever. They now continue to cultivate what they've sown. A beautiful life on their homestead.
