Cocktail attire, please. It may get breezy by the water after the sun goes down during the ceremony so we'd recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket.
To ensure the health and safety of our guests, we ask that everyone attending our wedding be vaccinated. While we are hopeful that COVID will not be as much of a concern by September, the wellbeing of our guests is extremely important to us so we will be keeping this request in place regardless of changes to local requirements in the future.
Please let Mikaela know the details when you RSVP and she'll make sure special arrangements are made for you. If you forget to mention this in your RSVP, you can also contact her directly at tierneykaela@gmail.com.
While we wish we could celebrate our wedding with everyone we love, we've intentionally chosen to have a small wedding with very close family members and a few longtime friends.
Yes, a shuttle will be provided to/from the Best Western and the Doubletree hotels. It will also bring guests from the ceremony/cocktail hour to the reception. (Note that it will *NOT* pick up guests at the Inn at Scituate Harbor.) The shuttle schedule is as follows: 4:15 pm - Shuttle will pick up guests outside the lobby of the Doubletree hotel. If you're staying at the Best Western hotel, please walk over to the Doubletree to meet the shuttle. It is a ~2 minute walk (the hotels are next to each other). 7:00 pm - Shuttle will take guests from the ceremony/cocktail hour at the Maritime Center to the wedding reception at Oro. 10:30 pm - Shuttle will take guests back to Doubletree hotel (for guests who'd like to leave the wedding a bit early). 11:30 pm - Shuttle will take guests back to the Doubletree hotel (for guests who'd like to leave at the end of the wedding). 12:30 am - Shuttle will take guests back to the Doubletree hotel (for guests who'd like to stay for the afterparty). (It is a ~25 minute drive between the hotels and the ceremony/reception venues.)
Considering how frustrating the airports can be around NYC/CT and that you may not want to rent a car for the weekend, Amtrak is probably the easiest option. Plan to get off at Route 128/University Park Station (Amtrak calls it "RTE") and get a cab or Uber to your hotel. It should be about a 35 minute drive, but there will likely be Cape traffic on a Friday afternoon so we'd recommend adding some extra time just in case.
