February 2020 we had engagement pictures taken, a sealing date with the San Diego temple, and invitations were being drafted. News of a respiratory virus started to become more and more serious. Soon, SARS-CoV2 was in the US, and everything started to shut down. We hoped we could keep our original June date, but it soon became clear that things would not go as originally planned. The temples closed and we were devastated. But we kept a positive attitude, and we decided to get civilly married in May 2020, with hopes to get sealed and celebrate later that year. We bought a house (which shopping for during a pandemic was....interesting) 2020 continued with lots of restrictions in place. As things started to open up, we were excited that both of our dream temple (San Diego) was opening back up for sealings. We were able to get a sealing date, and we are so excited!
