What should I wear to a Halloween wedding?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal. Some examples of what to wear: a dress, a jumpsuit, a suit, a blouse & trousers. We want you to feel fierce! In the spirit of Halloween, we ask that guests wear dark colors, such as black, dark purple, midnight blue, or burgundy. Please refrain from wearing white, light colors, and Halloween costumes. We want you to be comfortable! Our ceremony will take place outdoors and our reception is located upstairs - please consider wearing comfortable shoes. Some options: flats, loafers, Doc Martens, Vans.

I'm booking a room in your block! How should I travel through Astoria?

Answer

While there will be no shuttle to or from Voco Astoria, the hotel is a 7 minute drive to Astoria Park and a 5 minute drive from The Rabbit Hole. Street parking is available (but not guaranteed) near Astoria Park and The Rabbit Hole. We recommend calling an Uber, a Lyft, or a cab. If you choose to take the subway, the 30th Ave NW stop is steps away from Voco Astoria. Astoria Park is a 12 minute walk from the Astoria Blvd. NW stop; The Rabbit Hole is a 9 minute walk from the Broadway NW stop. If you choose to take the scenic route and walk to/from Voco Astoria, the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from Astoria Park & The Rabbit Hole. There will be an hour in between the ceremony and reception to allow for traveling & pictures. Astoria Park is a 9 minute drive/24 minute subway commute/32 minute walk from The Rabbit Hole. However you plan to travel, we hope you get to enjoy our neighborhood!

Is this a child free wedding?

Answer

Yes. We love your kids & want to make sure they're able to trick or treat! The reception is exclusively for adults 21+. Please have valid ID with you.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to celebrate with everyone, due to the capacity limitations of our venue, we are only able to accommodate those named on your invitation & RSVP.

Will there be vegan food options?

Answer

Yes. We will have a menu that offers both vegan & non vegan options. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let the brides know in advance so we can inform the caterer.

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be a 3 hour open bar at the reception. Is drinking not your vibe? Don't worry, there will be non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, & soft drinks available as well. Don't forget to tip your bartenders!
