We're getting married! :)

Most people don't know this, but Kady and I first met in the summer of 2004. 14 years ago!!! It seems like a long time ago, but also like it was just yesterday. Kady had just graduated from high school, and she was a lifeguard at Pepperwood Pool in Sandy, UT. My friends and I were young hooligans that visited the pool all the time. In fact, we called it the "daily pool party." We'd get some sun, try new tricks off the diving board, and of course flirt with the cute life guards. I'm not sure how we first ended up hanging out, but I do remember having a lot of fun together that summer. One of our first dates was going to see Napoleon Dynamite in the theaters. There was also the incident where a friend of ours (Jimmy Beech) accidentally backed his parents' Suburban into Kady's brand new car while she was standing behind her open door; that was fun (just kidding). Kady would sometimes sneak out of her mom's house and we'd meet at the park by her house to cuddle and kiss and talk for hours while looking out at the view of the city. It was a great summer. However, I moved to Las Vegas that fall for work, and Kady went to college. Our summer-fling ended, and life took us our separate ways... Fast-forward to the summer of 2016. Kady was living and working in Manhattan, and I was living the bachelor life back in Draper, Utah. I got a message on Facebook from Kady one night out of the blue saying hi. We chatted for a bit and caught up, and she asked me if I wanted to take her out over the 4th of July weekend holiday when she was going to be in Utah visiting her family. We ended up hanging out that whole weekend, then planned a trip to Las Vegas with each other over Labor Day weekend. Things got more serious when she found a job in Salt Lake and decided to move back in October! Yada, yada, yada we were dating exclusively by January of 2017, and I asked her to marry me on the last day of November, 2017 in Central Park. That's a whole different story though. :)
