A modern love story with a classic twist, technology brought them together, the pandemic kept them apart but through it all they remained connected. June 2019 Knolly and Kadisha met the modern way : by swiping right on tinder (swoon!). An evening of boredom and scrolling on tinder, turned into a budding romance that blossomed into a once in a lifetime love. "pling!" Message from Kashif : " Alkaline or Popcaan" Kadisha : " Popcaan of course!" This response would leave an impression on Knolly and thus a friendship began. It would be a month of inconsistent conversations before finally exchanging numbers then another few weeks before finally meeting. July 2019 For Knolly's birthday, his only wish was to take Kadisha on a date. Their first date was off to a rocky start, courtesy Knolly's tardiness, but from the time their eyes met, it was instant chemistry and thus began a whirlwind romance. The next 4 years of dating would be a unique challenge due to the lockdown brought on by the pandemic but they used this as an opportunity to learn about each other and form deeper connections. From quarantine dates to bae-cations many memories were created. July 28th 2023 : The Proposal If you asked Knolly how he knew Kadisha was the one, he'd respond with a smile and say... "I knew I loved this woman when, without even planning it, I began shaping all my life goals and dreams around her at the center. Her comfort and desires became my guiding star. Just being her boyfriend wasn't enough for me. I wanted to hold her close and shout to the world, 'I love you, Kadisha!'. The thought of venturing through life without her by my side as my Wife just didn't feel right." 💖 Kadisha planned the perfect birthday getaway for Knolly, but he too had a surprise up his sleeve. Unbeknownst to her, he planned the perfect surprise proposal but the day would be daunted by traffic, inclement weather and many other twists. What started out as a surprise picnic date, turned into an engagement as Knolly got down on one knee and proposed.
