Travel Note
Since most of our guests will be traveling from California, we recommend booking your flight with Breeze Airlines if you are in the Orange County area. They offer easy and affordable flights from Orange County to Grand Junction the weekend of the wedding. They currently have a direct flight on Friday night and a “no plane change” 1 stop flight Thursday. And for your return there is a “no plane change” 1 stop flight Sunday and a direct flight on Monday.
Flight
This is the recommended airport if you are flying from the Orange County area and are looking for the quickest and most affordable flights. We recommend Breeze airlines. This airport is about an 1.5 hours from Montrose.

This is the recommended airport if you are looking for the the closest airport to the wedding. It is located right in town and just a few minutes away from the hotels in the area.
Shuttle
September 26, 2026 3:30 am - 10:30 pm
There will be a shuttle provided on the day of the wedding to take you to and from the Downs Ranch. The Shuttle will pick up at the Fairfield Hotel at 3pm.

This is the recommended hotel as this is where a shuttle pick up will be provided for the wedding on Saturday! We have a room block under the Nelson Wedding! Please use the link below for the discounted rate. Currently there are double queens held for the block but if you would like a different room type you can just contact the front desk or book without using the group rate. The hotel cost without the group rate is about the same at the moment but as we get closer the cost is expected to go up.
