We met at work. I had just started working at Kaden’s dad’s restaurant, everybody kept asking Kevin where Kaden was and when he was getting back. I had no idea who Kaden was. Fast forward a couple weeks and it was my birthday, I had only worked a couple shifts with Kaden and hadn’t really spoken to him. He told me happy birthday as I was leaving that day, I thought it was someone else who said it so I said “you already told me that!” Kaden being the quiet person he was, said “I said that.” I felt so bad and said thank you. Not long after that interaction, was the annual fall festival in Coweta. One of the busiest weeks of the year for the restaurant. Everyone was working super hard, Kevin decided to go out to one of the food trucks and get everyone some funnel cakes. I went with him and so did Kaden. Kaden very nonchalantly tried asking me out by asking me if I remembered a hypothetical question that me and a couple people in the kitchen were talking about and I acted like I had no idea what he was talking about. I did not want to go out with him or anybody else for that matter. He was very persistent and kept asking me when we could go on a date. Finally, on October 4th 2022, I had gotten into a car accident a few hours before work and when I got to work I was telling him about it, he asked me for my number and we haven’t gone a day without talking since. We finally went on our first date, with a group because I was nervous. We went to the Haunted Plantation in Coweta, even though I HATE scary stuff. That night we sat in the bed of my truck and talked until 5 am. I felt so at home with him and ever since that night, I knew there was something about him that I didn’t ever want to let go of. And now here we are, three years later, getting MARRIED!!! I am so blessed to have found someone to calm my crazy and love me for me.
