Our story began at Fort Hays State University with a simple but memorable connection. We discovered we share the same birthday, December 7th. From that moment on, what started as an easy friendship quickly became something we couldn’t imagine life without. For four years, we were inseparable best friends, filling our days with rounds of golf, spontaneous dinners, and long drives just to catch the sunset and talk about life. We built a friendship rooted in laughter, comfort, and truly knowing each other. Along the way, so many of our friends were convinced we would end up together, some even going as far as placing bets, but we always laughed it off and insisted they were wrong. Somewhere in the middle of all those ordinary, meaningful moments, our story quietly began to change. What we had built as best friends grew into something deeper, and suddenly all those predictions didn’t seem so far off after all. Looking back, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it happened; only that it felt natural and like we had been building toward it all along. You can still find us on the golf course, just like old times, or exploring new cities together and making new memories along the way. The foundation we created as friends became the start of our forever, and now we feel so lucky to turn that friendship into a lifetime of love together.
