Getting to Challis
If you are flying in, the closest airport is in Idaho Falls, about 2 ½ hours away or in Boise about 4 hours away. For safety, we suggest arriving and departing during daylight hours, as there can be wildlife/cattle crossings along the road at night.

There are no large stores or fast food places like Walmart, Costco, or McDonalds here, but you’ll find unique local shops and businesses to explore. If you need something you can’t find in Challis, the town of Salmon—about 45 minutes away—offers a few more options. We hope you enjoy experiencing our community!
