Guests traveling from the U.S. may wish to arrive at least one day before the welcome gathering to allow time to adjust to the time difference and settle in before the festivities begin.

Question

What time does the ceremony begin?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30 PM. Guests are kindly asked to arrive 20–30 minutes early to allow time to be seated.

Question

What time will the wedding conclude?

Answer

The celebration will continue into the evening. Final timing details will be shared closer to the date.

Question

Shuttle service will be provided to and from the wedding ceremony and reception venue. Details, including pickup times and locations, will be shared closer to the date.

Answer

Yes. On-site parking will be available for guests who choose to drive. Additional details will be shared closer to the date.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

Question

How far in advance should I arrange private transfers or taxis?

Answer

Private drivers and taxis can be limited, particularly in the evenings. We recommend booking in advance when possible.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is the closest major international airport.

Question

What is the best way to get from Milan to Lake Como?

Answer

Lake Como is approximately 1–1.5 hours from Milan by car. Train service is also available from Milan to Como San Giovanni or Varenna-Esino stations, depending on your final destination. The train ride typically takes between 1–1.5 hours.

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to Italy?

Answer

U.S. passport holders do not currently require a visa for short stays in Italy (up to 90 days within a 180-day period). Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Beginning in late 2026, visa-exempt travelers — including U.S. citizens — will be required to obtain authorization through the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) prior to arrival. ETIAS is an online travel authorization (similar to the U.S. ESTA) that must be approved before travel. We recommend confirming current entry requirements through official government sources prior to departure.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal / Black-Tie Optional. Floor-length or midi dresses, refined jumpsuits, and tailored suits are welcome. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will take place outdoors, after which we will move indoors to continue the festivities. As portions of the event will be on stone and gravel surfaces, we recommend selecting footwear accordingly and bringing light layers for the evening.

Question

What is the dress code for the welcome gathering?

Answer

Cocktail attire is encouraged. We kindly invite guests to wear warm, neutral tones such as ivory, champagne, taupe, sand, or soft blush. Comfortable footwear and light layers are recommended.

Question

What will the weather in Lake Como be like in late September to early October?

Answer

Late September and early October in Lake Como typically offer daytime temperatures in the mid-60s to low-70s °F (approximately 18–22°C), with cooler evenings once the sun sets. Light layers are recommended.
