Our welcome event attire is casual. We invite guests to wear whatever feels comfortable, relaxed, and true to them while still feeling put together for a festive gathering. We invite guests to wear comfortable, polished outfits that feel relaxed and event-ready, such as sundresses, casual dresses, skirts, dressy shorts, lightweight sets, button-downs, polos, blouses, nice jeans, or chinos with sandals, sneakers, loafers, flats, or boots. Please avoid athleticwear or overly worn-in clothing.
Our reception attire is semi-formal. We invite guests to wear whatever polished, dressy attire makes them feel most comfortable and confident, whether that’s a suit, cocktail dress, jumpsuit, dressy separates, or other elevated eveningwear. Think classic, celebratory, and ready to dance.
While we love your children, the reception is for adults only. However, children are allowed to attend the welcome event on Friday evening. If you require childcare on Saturday, please reach out to us directly and we can provide you with a local service.
Don’t worry, we are not asking people to dry clean their clothes for the event, unless of course you want to! Built in the early 1930s, the space was originally developed as a grocery store. The building became a dry cleaner and later a leather + fur cleaner beginning in the 1980s. This business closed in 2014 whereupon the building sat vacant and in growing disrepair until the DCO team purchased it in 2020.
If you are not use to being at elevation, please be aware that you will need to consume more water to stay hydrated.
While renting a car isn't mandatory, if you're staying longer than the weekend it might be advisable. Both locations on Friday and Saturday are close to the hotel and if needed, the reception venue has handful parking spaces. The hotel does have valet parking. We do not have transportation arranged between the hotel and Dry Clean Only for the reception.
Your guess is as good as ours!...Kidding.....Bit of a tricky answer to this question, since the couple years that we've been here we've seen highs in the 80's - 60's °F and lows in the mid to low 50's °F. However, it's typically dry at this time of the year in Denver and we haven't seen any rain or snow in the city. Bringing layers would be advised. If you're traveling anywhere in the mountains during your stay, there is the potential for snow. Look at the weather and travel requirements prior to heading into the high country.
