We're Getting Married

It all started at Chick-fil-A, where two young coworkers spent more time laughing together than making chicken sandwiches. Kalib was in college at Western Carolina, and Kacy was still in high school at Tuscola in Waynesville, NC. What began as friendly shifts soon turned into something more — even if our first “date” included buying a $5 machete at Walmart while shopping for work Secret Santas (yes, really). From the mountains to the city, our story has been full of new adventures. When Kacy moved to Charlotte to attend UNCC, Kalib soon followed — proving that sometimes, love really does steer the course. Along the way, we’ve mastered the art of long distance, spending nearly half our relationship apart but always finding our way back to each other. If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that we balance each other perfectly. Kacy’s Type A energy keeps us grounded and organized, while Kalib’s Type B calm keeps things light and easy. Together, we’ve built something steady, silly, and strong — and we can’t wait to start the next chapter side by side.
